Below are my ideas and opinions on the Rarijack ship~! Please be respectful of my opinions

Looovveee Rarity. My first time finishing a picture of her- and my first time drawing Applejack <3 Now I've at least sketched all of the main six!

Mostly did this as a giftie for FluffleBear, who loves Rarijack. After drawing this and writing an accompanying story (It's more of a dialogue- actually it's really just a dialogue) I have grown fond of the ship myself! I still haven't decided if I will have them shipped in my Next Gen verse however.

To be honest I might not- mostly because Twi' and Rainbow are already together in my NextGen and it seems odd to have multiple main six pairings in the same Next Gen. Also I can't really figure out how to have AJ and Rarity's relationship fit in with what I've already planned.

ANYWAY, here's a kind of long-ish? Story about this picture. I am glad I decided to write it first, because I was then able to make a pretty picture that actually fits the story <3 <3

Applejack: *Knocks on Boutique door* 

Rarity: Just a moment! *A minute later, with a the sound of rustling and a cat yowling, the door is enveloped in a light blue glow and then opens.* Come in~!

Applejack: *Enters* Howdy! Er, Rarity? It's Applejack. Uh- where are ya?

Rarity: Ah, darling! It's so nice of you to drop by- I'm in the kitchen dear. Just making some dinner for Sweetie Bell and I. *Sounds of movement coming from the kitchen*

Applejack: *Hesitates* Oh, uh- should I go?

Rarity: What? of course not! Come right on in-, you must taste test this for me!

Applejack: *Takes a deep breath, steels her nerves, and pushes the door to the kitchen open.* What are ya making in here?

Rarity: A meal fit for a princess- but I'll have to do. *Giggles* Come now, have a taste! *Brings a spoonful of something that goopy that smells of apples to Applejack's mouth*

Applejack: *Licks the spoon.* Mmm! *Takes the spoon in her mouth to finish rest of the sample.* Delicious! Is it made from apples from mah farm?

Rarity: *Nods, her face glowing with delight as she smiles.* Why the apples you grow are simply to die for. I purchased some today from your grandmother and I had to make a dish with them!

Applejack: *Sputters, almost spitting the spoon onto the floor.* You talked ta Granny? *Sets the spoon in the sink with some other dirty dishes.*

Rarity: I did, she is a fun old mare. Her knitting skills are superior to even mine! *She pauses, the smile on her face changing into a a sly one.* We had an interesting conversation about you. *There's a teasing tone in her voice.*

Applejack: *Swallows and watches as Rarity turns away to cook.* What were ya'll sayin'?

Rarity: Oh nothing bad, darling. I was wondering how you could get all the apples off a tree with one kick- your Grandmother told me a cute story about when you were young and kept kicking a tree over and over again trying to get at all the apples off, but some stubborn one wouldn't drop. *She turns around with another spoonful of the gooey apple stuff. It glows faintly blue, like her horn, and it pops right into Applejack's mouth.* I added a seasoning- it should give it an even sweeter taste.

Applejack: *Tries to say something but the spoon muffles her voice. Finally she just nods.*

Rarity: Good! *Levitates the spoon out of AJ's mouth and sticks it in the sink.* Now, back to the story, she told me how you were even more stubborn back when you were a foal. You didn't give up on that apple until you finally kicked the tree hard enough to get it down. Now where your Granny calls it stubbornness, I call it dedication. *A light smile comes to her face.* A wonderful quality if you ask me.

Applejack: *Her cheeks are dusted a light red. She can feel the blush spreading to her ears and she has to turn away from Rarity's gaze and face the sink. Needing something for her hooves to do, she starts washing the dishes in the sink until they're shiny and clean.* That's somethin' we share then. Ah remember when ya made dresses fer all of us. *The blush fades as she remembers how stressed Rarity had been, but how she toughed it out to satisfy her friends.* You put up with us and kept workin' 'n workin'. Wantin' the dresses tah be perfect fer us. Real dedication right there.

Rarity: Oh Applejack, that's very kind of you to say.

Applejack: *Peeks Rarity from under her bangs. The mare is looking at her with warmth in her eyes.* Uh, Rarity... *Lifts head up to look the other in directly in the eyes.*

Rarity: Yes, darling? *Her expressions melts into one of curiosity.*

Applejack: Ah came here fer somethin' other than a visit. 

Rarity: Oh, is there something wrong?

Applejack: No-, well... No there's nothing wrong. Ah just have somethin' ah have tah say. Ya'll know me, ah can't keep mahself from tellin' the truth. Ah've been holdin' this in fer awhile now but ah can't any longer. *Takes a deep breath, looking Rarity straight in the eye.* Ah'm gay. 's been a struggle these past few months but ah've come to accept it.

Rarity: Oh Applejack, I'm so glad you told me. I-

Applejack: Hold up, pardner ah'm not finished. Ah had no idea ah felt this way until I realized that ah have feelings for ya. There, ah said it. Rarity, ah have feelings for ya. Ah don't quite understand them but ah recognize them now. Ah don't expect ya tah feel the same way, but ah had to be honest. With you and with myself.

Rarity: Applejack...

Applejack: Ah'll leave ya tah process this. Thank ya fer letting me in 'n lettin' me taste yer cookin'. *Tips her hat, bangs falling over her eyes as she turns to leave.*

Rarity: Applejack wait!

Applejack: *Turns head to look at Rarity but is surprised by a set of lips pressing against her own.* Mmph!

Rarity: *Breaks the short kiss, face still close to Applejack's, whose eyes are wide and face filled with wonder.* I'm so happy you made the first move, darling. I was beginning to think I was the only one with these feelings. *Wraps her perfectly curled tail around AJ's.

Applejack: I-Ah... *Blushes deeply, mouth open in shock.*

Rarity: *Closes the distance between them for another kiss.* Mmm, you're right.

Applejack: Huh? 'Bout what?

Rarity: *Hooded eyes and a playful smile.* That apple stew is delicious.

Applejack: *Blushes even more*
